  • Important Notice for the Recruitment of Nepalese Domestic Service Workers (NDSWs): Group/Individual Open or Close

    Important Notice for the Recruitment of Nepalese Domestic Service Workers (NDSWs): (Group/Individual)

    The Government of Nepal has issued New Directives for the Recruitment of Nepalese Domestic Service Workers (NDSW).

    1. Any duly registered United Arab Emirati agencies which has the authority to recruit Nepalese Domestic Service Workers can submit the necessary documents to the Embassy of Nepal, Abu Dhabi UAE within the specified date and time by the Embassy.
    2. The Agency Registration Deposit fee AED 37,000.00
    3. Deposit by the Employer AED 3,700.00
    4. Agency Registration fee AED 2,000.00
    5. Agency Renewal fee AED 1,500.00
    6. The net annual income of the Employer (couple) must be more than AED 3,00,000.00
    7. The validity of the registered agency will be one year ( July 15 to 14 July each year)
    8. The minimum salary for the Nepalese Domestic Service Worker has been fixed at AED 1,100.00.
    9. Please be informed that after getting Visa for NDSW the concern UAE agencies must submit the Visa to the Nepal Embassy for verification and deposit AED 3700.00 for each NDSW on behalf of the sponsor.
    10. It is also be informed that concern UAE agencies/sponsors must submit the records of NDSWs to the Nepal Embassy within 3 days of the arrival of NDSWs as per attached format.
    11. The Nepalese Female Domestic Service Workers should be 24 years old or more.
    12. The Demand letter, Power of Attorney, Guarantee Letter, Agreement and Contract papers must be in Original (Hard Copy and Seal and Signature also must be First Hand).
    13. The attestation fee per page is AED 150.
    14. Submission time for the Demand is from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm. and Sunday to Thursday except public holidays.
    15. The Embassy may pay a study visit to the Agency or employer residence if it deems necessary.
    16. The Embassy will inform the Recruiting Agency approval or disapproval of the document for attestation only after 7 working days.
    17. The Nepalese Domestic Service Workers Recruiting Agency/Employer must receive the Nepalese Domestic Service Worker at the concerned Airport of UAE and inform the same to the Embassy of Nepal, Abu Dhabi.
    18. The concerned Nepalese Domestic Service Workers Recruiting Agency /Employer of UAE must bring the Employee to the Embassy of Nepal within three days of his/her arrival in UAE for the Registration.
    19. The Employer should come to the Embassy of Nepal in person to sign the contract and the contract must be signed by the Employer and Employee.
    20. The concerned Nepalese Domestic Service Workers Recruiting Agency of the UAE must submit a quarterly report by supervising salary, leave and other facilities as per the contract between the Employer and Employee to the Embassy of Nepal.
    21. The concerned Nepalese Domestic Service Workers Recruiting Agency/Employer of UAE must bring the Nepalese Domestic Service Workers at the Embassy of Nepal in every fourth month as requested by the Embassy
    22. It is strictly prohibited by laws of both Nepal and UAE to compel anyone under company visa to work as Domestic Service Workers.
    23. The NDSW shall not be recruited for any person other than the sponsor who has sponsored the visa for the designated worker.
    24. It is strictly prohibited to charge any kinds of cost to NDSWs (to come to UAE and return back to Nepal ) by the Recruiting Agency of Nepal and UAE and also by the Employer.
    25. A fully furnished Temporary Accommodation for the NDSW must be arranged by the UAE Agency until they are transferred to the sponsor.
    26. A set of Mobile Phone must be provided by the Sponsor to NDSW.
    27. NDSWs shall have the right to Retain his or her Passport.
    28. The Sponsor must arrange to insure the NDSW to have a family contact in Nepal each week.
    29. The concerned Agencies' responsibilities will remain effective until and unless concerned NDSW returned back to Nepal.
    30. Any Sponsor who has hired a House Maid before this New Directives but failed to Deposit AED 5,000.00 must Deposit the aforementioned deposit at the Embassy of Nepal.
  • Required Documents for the Renewal of the Duly Registered Agency of UAE Open or Close
    1. The registered UAE agencies should renew their License/Contract in between 15 July to 15 October each year.
    2. Should submit the Details of last year's recruited Nepalese Domestic Service Workers ( Name, MRP No, Address of Nepal, Mobile No. (UAE)), and details of Owners ( Name, Address, Emirates ID No., Mobile No.).
    3. Submit the Detail Records of Nepalese Domestic Service Workers who returned back to Nepal after completing or without completing the contract period.
    4. Proof of required balance deposit at the Embassy.
    5. Renewal fee is AED 1200.00
    6. An Application form or letter.
    7. Others
  • Terms and Conditions for the Termination/Suspension of Registered Agency of UAE Open or Close
    1. If submitted the fake documents.
    2. If failed to provide salary and other facilities as stated in the contract paper to NDSWs.
    3. If refuse/hesitate to rescue the NDSWs during the time of problem created by security threat.
    4. If failed to renew the registration of the agency at the Embassy of Nepal on specific date.
    5. If the contract between the concerned Nepalese agency and the UAE is terminated or make default.
    6. If the deducted Deposit has not been compensated by the concerned agency of UAE within 15 days to the Embassy.
    7. If The employer does not give one day off per week to the Employer.
    8. If the local authorized recruitment agency involves in recruiting the NDSW violating the provisions mentioned in the existing Directives of NDSWs of Nepal.
  • Deduction of the Deposit Open or Close

    The Embassy of Nepal may deduct the deposit of the concerned agency (if the Employer failed to compensate) /employer to compensate the concerned Employee's Salary, Medical Treatment Cost and Air Ticket Cost to go to Nepal under the following conditions:

    1. If the job nature is different and facilities including salary are less than agreed in the contract. contract.
    2. If the Employee is seriously ill and can not perform his/her duties.
    3. If any physical assault, mental pressure and harassment occurs due to misbehavior/maltreatment by the owner or his/her family members.
    4. If the employee is transferred to other than agreed contract place/country.
    5. If the employer refuse/hesitate to let employee to return to his/her country back after completion of the contract period.
  • Rescue of NDSWs Open or Close

    The Embassy of Nepal and the concerned Registered Recruiting Agency of the UAE shall jointly arrange to rescue and repatriation for the NDSW to Nepal on the following situations:

    1. If the job nature is different and facilities including salary are less than agreed in the contract.
    2. If the Employee is seriously ill and can not perform his/her duties.
    3. If any physical assault, mental pressure and any kind of harassment occurs by the owner or his/her family members.
    4. If the employee is transferred to other than agreed contract place/country.
    5. If the employer refuses/hesitates to let the employee to return to his/her country back after completion of the contract period.
  • Refund of the Deposit: Group/Individual Open or Close

    If you have decided to terminate the agreement between the Nepalese registered Agency and the United Arab Emirates registered agency, cancel the visa of your Nepalese Domestic Worker for whatsoever reason (you wanted to terminate his/ her visa or your employee didn't come back to you after her vacation or your employee refused to come after you deposited security amount to the Embassy), please contact the Embassy for the refund of the security deposit by completing the following procedures/documentary requirements:

    1. Ask the employee to call the Embassy during the working hours or send us an email mentioning her contact number before she is sent back to Nepal (applicable only if your employee is still with you in the UAE);
    2. Submit a written request to the Embassy stating the reason of repatriation of your employee to Nepal with the following documents/proofs after he/she left the UAE for Nepal:
      1. Cancellation of visa
      2. Copy of air ticket to Nepal
      3. Exit paper or exit stamp, and
      4. Original receipt given by the Embassy at the time you deposited the money.
      5. Proof of the termination of contract between the Nepalese Registered Agency and UAE Registered Agency for recruiting NDSWs. (group only)

    The Employer/Agency may also send his/her authorized representative with the said documents to collect the security deposit, which will be refunded on the same day if all the requirements are fulfilled and the Embassy has nothing to verify in this regard.

  • Required Documents for the attestation of the Nepalese Domestic Service Workers (NDSWs) through Agency Open or Close
    1. An application form for the attestation of documents for the Nepalese Domestic Service Workers.
    2. A Demand Letter (Stating the details of Basic Salary, Food, Accommodation, Working days and hours, Joining Air Ticket and Returning Air Ticket, Emirates ID Card and Visa Cost, Medical Test Cost, Place of Work and other benefits as per the UAE laws etc.)
    3. A duly attested copy of the contract between Employer and the Registered UAE Recruiting Agency for NDSWs (Power of Attorney by the Sponsor to the UAE Agency).
    4. An Agreement between the Registered Recruiting Agency of Nepal and the United Arab Emirates Agency.
    5. A Sample Contract Paper between Employee and Employer.
    6. Power of Attorney by the Agency of UAE to the Agency of Nepal.
    7. Original slip of the Deposit AED 3700.00 for each NDSW.
    8. Job descriptions/ details for the NDSWs.
    9. A Guarantee letter.
    10. A duly attested paper regarding the Socio-Economic Condition and Character Certificate of the Employer ( Recently issued Police Report and Income Certificate).
    11. A duly attested copy of the certificate of house ownership/tenancy contract.
    12. A copy of the valid Certificate of Registered Agency of Nepal issued by the Department of Foreign Employment of Nepal.
    13. A copy of valid Registered Agency Certificate issued by the Embassy of Nepal.
    14. Copies of the Passport, Visa and Emirates ID of the Registered Recruiting Agency Owner.
    15. Two copies ( Original and Photocopy) of Demand letter, Agreement Papers, Contract Paper, Power of Attorney, Guarantee Paper etc.

  • Individual Recruitment of Nepalese Domestic Service Worker (NDSW) Open or Close

    Only own blood relatives (Husband, Wife Father, Mother, Son. Daughter Brother and Sister ) of Nepali currently working in the United Arab Emirates can be recruited to the post of Domestic Service Worker (NDSW) except Women by the resident of UAE after getting approval/attestation from the Embassy of Nepal. The concerned resident who is seeking to recruit the NDSW must submit the required documents to the Embassy of Nepal to get the approval/ attestation.

    2. Contract Paper between NDSW and Sponsor . Two copies ( one original and one photocopy)
